Tea with Oprah

Teavana and Oprah have teamed up and are selling tea at Starbucks.

I don’t drink tea.

However, I have had a feeling that Oprah and Starbucks would one day work together so I was pleasantly surprised when this initiative was rolled out.

I admire Oprah a lot.

I look at her and I am simply amazed that one person, a black female at that, can do all that she has done in her lifetime.

And she’s not even finished yet.

I hope it is ok to say black.

I never know if that is ok or not, and if it is not, I mean no disrespect.

To me, the coolest part of it all, the quotes by Oprah printed on the hot beverage sleeve covers.

I don’t buy hot drinks either, so I would have never noticed the messages had not one been slipped onto my frap.

I read it and was inspired.

“The only courage you ever need is the courage to live the life you want.” – Oprah Winfrey

The message was timely, that is why I was inspired.

I thought that was the only message, until one day I was waiting for my frap and read another one.

I didn’t take it.  I just read it and was impressed with the multiple quotes being doled out with each cup of coffee (or tea).

Yesterday, another sleeve was slipped onto my frap, again with a timely message.

“Live from the heart of yourself.  Seek to be whole, not perfect.” – Oprah Winfrey

I like to think of them as signs since they were given to me.

And I carry both of them in my purse.

So if you happen to be at a Starbucks today, perhaps you might want to have a cup of tea, coffee or frap with Oprah.

And you’ll find another amazing woman, among others…..
